5 Star Blogging

Here’s what found its way into my Google Reader this week:

  1. Seth Godin discusses the importance of first impressions.  For me it was just a good reminder that people are quick to judge (a blog, church, or person) based on their first impression.  What do teens think when they walk through the doors at RVC?
  2. Josh gave some pointers on where to find volunteers for your youth ministry.  Nothing surprising, but it caught my attention! (read: we really need some volunteers!)
  3. Tim listed some alternatives to giving announcements during meetings.
  4. Stephanie had a short quote that resonated with some of the things I’ve been thinking about.
  5. Tony discussed the ways we promote ministries.  I loved it.  This is one of the many reasons why we’re RVC Youth and not “T.E.S.T.I.F.Y” or “Resurgence.”  Not that those are bad names for a youth group.  Yes they are.
