I had a dream last night. A man is running to his king with a concern, a desperate plea. He rushes up the steps of the palace, eyes full of tears, ready to provide his petition. At the gate he stands and cries out to the guards, who stand motionless, bound by duty to stand at attention, ignoring his requests to see the king. The man leaves frustrated and defeated.
Contrast that with our King:
“When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17)
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
Not sure what that means in my life today, but maybe it’s for you. Whatever you’re facing in life, my prayer is that your heart would be encouraged to cry out to Him!
